Our November meeting had 21 members and 5 guests attend. The meeting slides have been uploaded to our documents library. Log in to check them out and learn what your club has been up to this past month.

The Archeological study at Penrose Commons has been completed. We have the CPW funds to pay them in our account. We are waiting for their formal report to be submitted to the BLM. Once they deliver that report, we will pay them. Nothing significant was identified and we will be submitting a grant request to CPW to begin trail implementation.
The government shutdown has impacted our ability to meet with the district Forest Service personnel to discuss our Trout Creek trail study. Hopefully, now that the gov't is back in business, we may be able to make that meeting happen before year's end.
The prescribed fires to occur up in the North Divide trail system have been postponed indefinitely, again, impacted by the shutdown. New dates TBD.
We discussed whether to support giving the Pikes Peak ranger district good management status. We have various opinions and our position is not yet solidified. If you have comments or concerns, please let our leadership team know so we can formulate our response to the district.
Mark your calendars for our annual holiday party coming up on the 10th of December. Hope to see a lot of you there! Please register yourself and your guests via the calendar event on our webpage. If you have trouble registering, contact Bret Williamson at secretary@cmtrail.org and he'll help.

Our member spotlight was actually a new member prospect, Cori Trenchick. She has a new dirt bike and is looking to join in on some local rides. She's new to the area and has ventured up Captain Jacks as well as some of the other trailheads in the area. We'll get her info into the member database as soon as she joins. She's enthusiastic to ride, give her an invite!

Member Paul Zeimantz has a ride planned up Capt Jacks for Friday, 14 Nov 2025. Meet at the trailhead on Lower Gold Camp road at 1000 if you are interested in joining the ride.
Be sure to check out our Club Gallery page for photos from recent rides and events. Use your own profile to add photos from your rides as well. We love sharing what our members have been up to.
